WESO (Science Olympiad)

About WESO

Washtenaw Elementary Science Olympiad is an elementary science tournament for schools throughout our county.

Students in grades 2-5 form teams for WESO focused on competing in one of the tournament events. Teams are coached by family or friend volunteers and teams self-determine the cadence and scheduling of practices. Coaching a WESO team is a great way to support this volunteer led activity.

You can learn more at wesoscience.org.

This year's competition will be May 10th, 2025 at Pioneer High School.

WESO at Abbot

All schools run WESO through volunteer positions, and each school runs it a bit differently. We will hold an info night in November for Abbot. More information will be added here as the date approaches.

If you have questions about Abbot's program you can email AbbotWESO@outlook.com.

INFO NIGHT: Learn more about WESO and sign up to participate at our Abbot Info Nights.
